Fixing Minor Garbage Disposal Issues
The good news is that not all garbage disposal
jams require calling a pro! If your disposal stops working, try these ideas before giving us a call:
Most garbage disposals have a reset button on the bottom of the unit; try pushing that button for a few seconds AFTER turning the disposal to the off position.
If, after trying this, it still doesn’t work, there should be a small, hexagonal hole. By turning an Allen key in this hole you should be able to rotate the flywheel and attempt to free the clog. Be cautious when doing this though to not hurt yourself!
